De theeserviezen van de zilversmid Bentvelt, koffiekannen van Carrenhoff, broodmanden van Stellingwerff, kandelaars van Bennewitz en nog veel meer voorwerpen, zijn inmiddels geliefde verzamelobjecten geworden. De auteur gaat aan de hand van 750 afbeeldingen uitgebreid in op alle grote zilveren voorwerpen.
